Mr. Merrell received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Northern Michigan University where he graduated summa cum laude. He is a member of Phi Kappa Phi. Joe completed his Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan and has worked full-time in professional social work positions of increasing responsibility including direct client care, clinical supervision, and directorships of behavioral health clinics at the inpatient, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care. Over his thirty years of practice Joe has taken the initiative to learn, practice, and refine clinical behavioral health skills designed to promote the recovery, health, and healing of suffering addicts and alcoholics and their family members and individuals with depression, anxiety and post traumatic stress disorders.
